Hoops for Hope

Hey guys,  I announced this in home group and I will be attending this annual event as both of my grandmothers were affected by breast cancer.  Just e-mail me at patrick.i.marshall@gmail.com if you wanna come with me!

Did you know this year in America, more than 211,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 43,300 will die from the disease?

Did you know that one in seven women either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime - that woman could be your mother, sister, daughter, wife, dear friend, or Hall of Fame Coach. Chances are you know at least one person who has battled breast cancer.

Hoops for Hope is a basketball game centered around hope. Hope for early detection, hope for increased survival, hope for a cure.

NC State Wolfpack Women vs. Boston College
Sunday, February 10
4:30 pm
Reynolds Coliseum

Adults $10 and youth $5
($5 of each ticket price to benefit the NC Triangle Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen For the Cure.)

Hoops for Hope will be a basketball game to remember! Breast cancer survivors will be recognized at half-time and fans will be given a FREE t-shirt (while supplies last) to show their support for the survivors and Coach Yow.

Hoops for Hope will also feature a commemorative game program wrap and commemorative ticket, allowing fans to remember the day for years to come. There will also be a silent auction and concourse displays featuring free giveaways... this is a game you don't want to miss. Please join us in making this a basketball game to remember!

Reverse Engineering your life

Last Sunday, Tyler gave his annual talk on Reverse Engineering your life. I want to encourage you all to listen to the talk if you haven't done so already and then really take time to go through it. I know for a lot of us we are unsure of what our lives will look like in the next few years, but it is still good to consider our priorities and where God wants us to take them even if ever detail does not come to fruition.

The talk: http://vintage21.com/study/129/
